Holy Week in the Philippines

Observance of Holy Week in the Philippines is a centuries old tradition in which Filipinos commemorate the events of the last week of Jesus’ life through various religious customs and practices. Holy Week is the last week of Lent, the week immediately preceding Easter Sunday. In most parts of the Country, jobs and classes are suspended to give the people time to observe services of worship throughout the week and return home to reunite with family and friends.
Yesterday there was an event and it passed by in front of our house here are some pictures
When i was a little girl i was able to witness the practice of holy week in Infanta Pangasinan... they would mimic Christ suffering their act of penance...

One more practice during holy week is the PABASA...

One more practice here in the philippines is visita Iglesia which I would add to my post later...
