Acute Gastroenteritis
Gastroenteritis (also known as gastro, gastric flu, and stomach flu although unrelated to influenza) refers to inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract, involving both the stomach and the small intestine (see also gastritis and enteritis) and resulting in acute diarrhea. The inflammation is caused most often by infection with certain viruses, less often by bacteria or their toxins, parasites, or adverse reaction to something in the diet or medication. Worldwide, inadequate treatment of gastroenteritis kills 5 to 8 million people per year,[1] and is a leading cause of death among infants and children under 5.[2]
At least 50% of cases of gastroenteritis as foodborne illness are due to norovirus.[3] Another 20% of cases, and the majority of severe cases in children, are due to rotavirus. The third significant viral agent is astrovirus.
Many different bacteria can cause gastroenteritis, including salmonella, shigella, staphylococcus, Campylobacter jejuni, clostridium, E. coli, yersinia, and others. Some sources of the infection are improperly prepared food, reheated meat dishes, seafood, dairTreatment
The objective of treatment is to replace lost fluids and electrolytes. The person's usual foods and drinks should not be withheld, but consumed as the person is able to tolerate them.[citation needed]
Rehydration
Regardless of cause, the principal treatment of gastroenteritis (and of all other diarrheal illnesses) in both children and adults is rehydration, i.e. replenishment of water lost in the stools. Depending on the degree of dehydration, this can be done by giving the person oral rehydration therapy (ORT) or through intravenous delivery. ORT can begin before dehydration occurs, and continue until the person's urine and stool output return to normal.y, and bakery products. Each organism causes slightly different symptoms but all result in diarrhea. Colitis, inflammation of the large intestine, may also be present.
Risk factors are consumption of improperly prepared foods or contaminated water and travel or residence in areas of poor sanitation. The incidence is 1 in 1,000 people.

Yes I had acute gastroenteritis yesterday and it was very severe that my tummy was growling and churning...had to go to the bathroom a couple of times...thanks to tita mervi who bought me gatorade, it is a type of drink that hydrates the body, it's also good that i was the only one affected with this gastric flu, good that my kids did'nt catch it...let us now be very picky in what we eat and what we drink...let us not let our kids drink water which are not bottled...and ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure

Successful husband?
That's a great question. Well, in this day and age, it's not as black and white as it used to be. Especially if a man has a working wife in the work force. In the past, a husband's role is to be the main breadwinner in the family and take care of his wife who stays at home, cooking and cleaning for him. Nowadays, it'a shared responsibility, a husband should be mindful of the fact that a woman is very much capable of earning a living too. But especially if she is contributing to her family's income. It's also just as important for the woman to recognise what her husband does for the family. Three of the most valuable things a husband can give to a wife are love, respect and attention. These things are what women find very assuring when they receive it. It is important and helps built trust for her, from him. A good woman also helps build a great man and therefore, a good and successful husband. As the saying goes, behind every successful man, there is a woman.
I hope families would stay intact...nowadayys we are ver busy that we neglect our roles in the family...i hope everyone who reads this would be awaken or shaken a bit...

Kung Hei Fat Choy!

The Rat year is a year of plenty, bringing opportunity and good prospects. It will be marked by speculation and fluctuations in the prices of commodities and the stock market; the world economy in general will boom. Business will be on the upswing, fortunes can be made and it will be an easy time to accumulate wealth. However, this is also the time to make long-term investment plans as the bonanza the year of the Rat brings will serve to see us through the bleak years that may follow. All ventures begun at this time will be successful if one prepares well. But do not take chances or unnecessary risks: the year of the Rat is still ruled by the cold of winter and the darkness of night. Those who speculate indiscriminately and overextend themselves will come to a sad reckoning.
On the whole, this will be a happier year than most: free from explosive events and wars and with far less catastrophes than, say, the years of the Tiger or the Dragon.
Nonetheless, it will be spicy. It promises a lot of bickering, bargaining and petty arguments that will do little harm. A congenial time that will find most of us socializing and enjoying ourselves.

How the Lampe Berger Operates

How the Lampe Berger operates:
1. Place your Lampe Berger on a stable surface away from any source of heat. Remove the openwork shade and the cap.2. Fill your Lampe Berger 1/2 to 2/3 full with a Lampe Berger Parfum de Maison. Wipe the Lampe Berger carefully of excess fluid.
(If your lampe is overfilled, it will have a tendancy to drown itself out. If this happens, you have a bit too much fuel in your lampe. Simply pour some out and re-light a couple of times so the wick will be properly saturated and will regulate the burning of the stone as it should. The air space inside the lampe is important for this reason.)3. Insert the wick fully into the neck of the Lampe Berger then check to make sure the burner is inserted. Place the cap on the neck and leave the wick to soak for approximately 20 minutes.4. Light the burner using a lighter or match. Leave the flame to burn for 2 minutes. Blow out the flame. Warning: never place the openwork shade over the flame.5. Your Lampe Berger is now operating. Never touch the burner during operation. Place the openwork shade over the burner. A Burning time of 25 to 45 minutes is sufficient for a room of 300 to 400 sq ft.

These lampes provide an ongoing interest and make a beautiful and life long collection. The carefully crafted lampes are durable and posess a lasting beauty. From glass to earthenware to porcelain, there is a style that has captured the interest of many a collector.
3. The most amazing reason Lampe Berger is such a desirable addition to your home or office is for the purification of air. Allergy and Asthma sufferers can breath easier. The main function for which Lampe Berger was invented by Maurice Berger was to clean the air of bacteria and tobacco in hospitals. Later the Morgues and Slaughterhouses used the product for this reason. After the fuel was reformulated to offer a pleasant scent, the product was offered to the public still performing its original function. Today, Lampe Berger has five different laboratories and research centers testing, monitoring and improving the product. The science backing this product exists, but you don't have to be a scientist to experience, feel and be convinced that this product does what it says it can do. Breath healthier with a Lampe Berger.

Lampe Berger

The whole secret of the Lampe Berger is encapsulated in the catalytic effect developed over 100 years ago by Maurice Berger, a pharmaceutical chemist. The catalytic burner captures and destroys the molecules that carry odors. The air is purified in a lower temperature zone at the center of the burner. The mixing of the air and the movement from convection due to the presence of hot points on the burner ensure that odors are destroyed and at least 68% of the bacteria are killed in a large volume of air. Lampe berger has set up an international Research Center for Catalytic Combustion on Ceramics (CR3C) in the town of Limges in France, world renown as a center of ceramic technologies for the nuclear and space industries. This research center is repeatedly testing and monitoring the "stone" for efficiency and safety to assure an efficient working process with the fuel.
Where other products just add perfume to unpleasant odors, the Lampe Berger actually purifies the atmosphere before perfuming it. Today, it is still the effectiveness and originality of this natural principle that ensures the success of the Lampe Berger in home and offices across the world. Lampe Berger is enjoyed by those who enjoy fragrance in their home, but benefits those with allergies and asthma. Lampe Berger formulates and tests each of its fragrances thoroughly. Four laboratories will test each fuel for the strick high standards set by Lampe Berger to make sure that each fuel is safe, efficient and beautifully fragrant. While other "knock-off" companies may release a new fragrance every couple of months, Lampe Berger takes 18 months just to formulate, test and approve a new fragrance. Developed in France over a century ago the Lampe Berger are as beautiful as they are functional. Chickadee’s carries a wide variety of styles of the 150 Lampe Berger models to choose from. Each is exquisitely crafted from glass, crystal, earthenware, and porcelain. Some are hand blown glass pressed into their beautiful shapes and some are hand crafted and hand painted, and screen painted.

my oil paintings
I am also into oil paintings...i love to paint,
i started when i was in second year highschool so it was 1988? hahahha....
i had short courses in basic and advance art classes under mr. sena and mr. solano, so they are my mentors...i hope someday i would be able to put up my own studio,
i am very much interested in sceneries/ landscapes and still life,
now that i am working fulltime at my dental clinic
and having a handful of kids i am not able to do my oils....
but i'm hoping one of this days i would bounce back into painting, here are some of my works...
